Advisor Announcement – Raghu Bala

Openfabric is pleased to announce that we have onboarded veteran technology entrepreneur Raghu Bala to our advisory team! As an alumnus of Yahoo, Infospace, and PwC, he has an impressive track record of four successful startup exits. His areas of focus include Web3, NFT, Defi, Metaverse, IoT, and AI.

Mr. Bala did his BA/BS in Math and Computer Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo. This was followed by MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). He served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University and is currently tutoring MIT courses in the AI and Blockchain space on the GetSmarter platform.

At AIM – The global industry association that connects, standardizes, and advances automatic identification technologies, he is serving as an elected board member. He has actively shared his knowledge and expertise at major worldwide conferences like Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong, Global Foreign Direct Investment Conference in Sydney, Blockchain Malaysia, IoT India Congress, Google IO, and several more.

He is a published author of technical books and loves to contribute online. Recently, he has co-authored a book ‘Handbook on Blockchain’ for Springer-Verlag publications. He is also a contributing editor to a new book called ‘Step into the Metaverse’.

At NetObjex, Mr. Bala was instrumental in the development of the Metaverse strategy including the purchase of land and construction of a Metaverse building. As a board advisor, he serves at several Metaverse and Crypto initiatives like FluentWorlds – a Metaverse Education company, Dreamium Labs – a Layer 0 Protocol for the Metaverse, TuneProtect – an insurance company part of the Tune Group with financial services products in the Metaverse, and TrinityDEX – a state of the art DEX built on Algorand.

His current areas of focus include Product Development, Engineering, and Strategy in the businesses or SaaS offerings related to Decentralized computing, Distributed Ledgers, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and the Metaverse. His domain knowledge is vast including Automotive, Retail, Supply Chain & Logistics, Healthcare, Insurance, Mobile & Wireless, and more.
